After opening the file, the following steps are required for installation:

  1. Call the Fritzbox interface in the browser with http://fritz.box and enter your Fritzbox password if required
  2. At the bottom of the menu you will find the “View: Advanced” footer that you need to enable
  3. You should now see the “Fritzos File” tab under “System / Update”
  4. In the Input field, select the path to the previously downloaded and unopened ZIP file and click “Start Update”
