Upcoming Pokemon DCG, video game and Pokemon Tournament TX World Championships postponed to 2022 in London

Expect an expansion celebration of this Pokemon competition next year.

The safety and well-being of our competitors, organizers, staff, local communities and partners is our highest priority and our main concern in our decisions more than ever.

After carefully reviewing the recommendations of local, regional and national public health authorities, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Public Health UK and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Pokemon World Championships to 2022. The event will take place in London.

Due to the suspension of the game! Pokemon, play it all! Licensed Pokemon have been suspended until further notice. These include league challenges, league trophies, Premier Challenge tournaments and midseason showdowns. We look forward to celebrating the success of all of our competitors in the expanded edition of the 2022 Pokemon World Championships in London. All invitations to the 2020 Pokemon World Championships will be honored for the 2022 World Championships.

We closely follow the recommendations of relevant government agencies and public health guidelines to determine when it is safe to resume events for our communities. We examine each country on a case-by-case basis based on the latest news and recommendations provided by relevant government agencies and medical professionals.

Thank you for the support and understanding of our millions of players, fans, organizers and editors around the world. The Pokemon International Championship and the Pokemon World Championship are very special events for us and the gaming community. We look forward to seeing you again and resuming the tournament.
