Try. Lockers to borrow sports equipment and messages

BoxUp is a system for everyone that provides free access to gaming and leisure equipment. Six lockers will be installed at the new Coulée des Douves leisure center (see below).

To use them, users need to download a dedicated app (available on the App Store and Google Play) and then sign up for it. Once their profile is open they can select the locker with the available equipment depending on the function they want to practice. Subject to public use conditions, the material will be available free of charge for a period of three hours. After that, the equipment returned to the locker via the transparent glass will be enough to re-deposit and take a picture again through the app. In case of conflicts, the application can send notifications to the user.

Vezins and outsiders alike can download this tool and use this equipment: soccer or basketball, Mölkky, pétanque but, to play at desks: table football balls, dart or ballot games etc. “The interest of this tool is to use the equipment installed on the site“Solin Cedric von Warren, Myre de Vegins.

BoxUp, an innovation from Switzerland, will be installed in Vezins next April. It is powered by solar panels, which allow full autonomy of the machine. Vezins is the first French municipality to offer this solution for sharing equipment, promoting training in various sports and leisure activities.

After months of work, the Coulée des Douves has once again become accessible to the public with new amenities. The municipal plan to redevelop the area is a strong response to the expectations and needs of the people.

Residents can now enjoy sports training elements such as a multi-playground with an athletic track, basketball hoops, and football goals. One play area is set up for kids, the other is designed for teenagers, with a gym, texball tables (a game that combines football and table tennis), checkers, a morphine, a baby-foot … and less for athletes. Or those who like to enjoy the setting: a kiosk with a unique view of the pools, free access and a barbecue with benches allow you to enjoy the site in a relaxed manner. In addition, a pedestrian path has been completely redesigned.

Soon, the zip line will be put into service (when the ground is hard), and the fitness components located at the base level will be delivered by the end of January. Orientation course will also be set up.
