As the sun sets tonight, Earth’s natural satellite will appear on a larger horizon than usual and pass a short distance from our planet. Called “Super Moon,” this is the first of four series in the next four months.
This March 28, at dusk, a Super Moon Providing a beautiful view of light to mankind. This phenomenon occurs when the Moon coincides with times when our natural satellite travels very close to the Earth at a speed of 356,700 kilometers. This is his perigee.
So at 9pm (Paris time) the super moon is best visible on the eastern horizon.

In total, scientists are talking about four super moons occurring this year. The next will be on April 27 and the other on May 26 and June 24.
The origin of time
It was not until the 1970s that astrologer Richard Nole introduced the expression Super Moon. Not considered a scientific term, this expression is widely used by the media.
