Google Photos has been captivating photos with free storage for many years, but this combination will be removed for most users by 2021.

The new year has begun, and the search in the Google Cloud storage for an alternative if you have no value for money. With the new year, the last period begins, the last few months to save for free on Google Photos. In recent years, almost all Android users have been able to take advantage of the offer that Google will finally cancel in the coming summer.

Not only will Google stop the current offer for users of other Android devices, but future Pixel customers will also have to invest. For Google Drive, Photos, Gmail and Go companies, the 15GB we have been using for years is only free for Google accounts. New June 1, 2021 onwardsLike the actual hard disk, all photos in the cloud will be counted towards future available storage.

    Google Photos: Unlimited storage canceled

So far, high quality photos (compressed, maximum 16 MP) have been able to be stored indefinitely in the cloud, which will change Google in the summer. This change is effective from the specified date and no changes will take effect until then. Nothing will change after the deadline for uploaded photos.

“From June 1, 2021, all of your photos and videos you upload will be counted against your Google Account’s storage quota. Each Google Account may be free of up to 15 GB or against your storage space subscription on Google One.

High quality photos or videos that you share over the next six months – I.e. before June 1, 2021 – Upload, Not calculated in your storage allocation. “- Via Google

There are no changes in the current issues for the previously available Google smartphones (Pixel 3A – 5). This is probably different for future models, but we will find out these details only later.

In principle, all interested Google users will continue to subscribe in the future Google One, Where you can charge 1.99 euros (100GB) per month for cloud storage.
