    The Google Play Store will soon stop downloading outdated apps

    Google Play will soon cover older apps for new users to encourage developers to support the latest Android features and improve security on smartphones.

    Most of the millions of Android apps in the Google Play Store work best on the latest phones and tablets, even if they were built for older versions of Android.     Apps that have not been updated for a long time will be hidden

    Google announced in a blog post on November 1, 2022, Current applications that did not target the API level in the previous two years The latest flagship version of Android can not be detected or installed by new users of devices running on Android OS versions larger than the intended API level of the app.

    Google also clarifies that the demand window will be modified accordingly as newer versions of the Android OS will be released in the future.
