Over the past few days, many Internet users around the world have reported spontaneous crashes in Google’s Chrome browser. Windows computers were particularly affected.
About two weeks ago, Google released the latest version 90 for its Chrome browser. Over the past few days, many users worldwide have reported a previously unknown error.
As the “Windows Latest” online portal first reported, many of the victims accidentally and accidentally crashed their browser for no apparent reason. “Fifteen minutes ago, Google Chrome stopped working anywhere. My extensions crashed and all pages (including Chrome pages, such as settings) refuse to load,” one user wrote on the Reddit portal.
Only Windows 10 users are affected
Windows 10 users and especially some Linux users suffer from this problem because it writes “Windows Latest”. The error does not appear to have occurred to MacOS users yet. The cause of the crashes is related to the local Chrome folder, which stores user data, browser extensions and configuration settings, a Google product expert has reported in a Chrome Support Forum.
Google later confirmed this and released an update to fix the bug. Accordingly, victims should open the browser – even if this page is not displayed correctly – and wait a few minutes. The browser must be closed and restarted. Accidents must now be resolved.
