The Caves and Cliffs update is available for download in mid-2021

Minecraft Live is one of the most eagerly awaited events for the Minecraft community as the player base receives exciting news and announcements for future updates.

Mozang appeared with big guns this year, enough to keep fans excited in terms of new content. One of the biggest announcements from the event is the Minecraft v1.17, which is an update to Caves and Cliffs.

This update is the largest ever in the history of Minecraft. It introduces many important elements to the game such as new caves and mountains.

When will the Minecraft 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update be available for download?

Depending on the scale and size of the update, Mozang is playing their cards closer to the chest, with the update scheduled for release in mid-2021. The update also includes a new mob in glow squid form.

The Minecraft community was asked to vote on which mob they would like to include in the next update. Out of 3 options to choose from, Glow Squid has emerged as the clear winner and fans are excited to find out what challenge awaits them.

Since the update is still many months away, players will have to wait a while before discovering everything the new update has to offer. So far, Mozang has not yet released the official list of additions to the game in the new update.

Reveal on Minecraft Live 2020 includes a brief reduction of the Caves and Cliffs update, with some new additions focusing on lush caves.
