With a combination of software and dongle, the Luna Display 5.0 makes the iPad the second monitor for computer systems with Windows 11, Windows 10 and MacOS x86 or M1 processor. With support for Microsoft’s operating systems, the developer wants to differentiate its solution from Apple’s own approach.
Limited to macOS with Apple Sidecar
With MacOS 10.15 Catalina, Apple introduced its solution called Sidecar, which allows an iPad to be a second screen and graphics tablet and expand the user’s workspace. However, Apple’s approach is only a mix of MacOS and iPad and leaves Windows out.
Its screen sync mode, so calledTarget mode“, Was able to expand the screen contents to a second Mac under the MacOS 10.13 High Sierra, which Apple had already dropped when switching to the MacOS 10.14 Mojave operating system.
Luna Display extends MacOS and Windows to iPados and MacOS
This is where Luna Display 5.0 comes in, from Windows PCs to Windows 10 1809 (“Redstone 5”) to Windows 11 to iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini from iOS / iPods to iPod 12.1. The software and dongle are “ready” for the M1 processor from Apple, which is based on ARM.
An adapter that requires at least Wi-Fi 4 – formerly IEEE802.11n – can be purchased in one of three versions: USB -C (PC and Mac), HDMI (PC) or Mini DisplayPort (Mac).
Available for $ 129.99
All three variants of the Luna Display 5.0 are now available directly for $ 129.99 Astrobat Manufacturer’s Website And $ 104.00 for a limited time with a 20 percent discount.
