Dying Light 2 will appear in a good seven weeks on February 4, 2022 after several delays. The computer requirements of the open world title were not initially significant. Performance requirements, at least in the area of the graphics card, can become substantial only with ray tracing.

Without a realistic light calculation, four computing cores, eight gigabytes of RAM and a current entry-level graphics card from AMD’s Raison or Intel’s Coffee Lake series would suffice. You do not have to have an SSD. According to Techland, such a system with 1080p and lower detail settings is enough for 30 frames per second.

Dual frame rates and high specs, on the other hand, require six cores and, like most games now, 16 gigabytes of RAM, including an SSD. The AMD RX Vega 56 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 are in the mid-performance range. In this area, Dying Light 2 is no different from other games of the current generation.

System Requirements for Dying Light 2 without Ray Tracing

Only with ray tracing can the requirements be significantly increased. For low quality realistic light reflection, it should be GeForce RTX 2070 at 1080p, with a performance of 30 frames per second, similar to the current GeForce RTX 3060 (tested). Techland then calls the GeForce RTX 3080 for high-quality ray tracking at 60 frames per second. AMD products are no longer compared here. On the other hand, other requirements, including those in the processor, are basically no longer increased.
