Nintendo Direct
Nintendo Direct is a regular video format event provided by Nintendo that announces new games or new game content. The first Nintendo Direct took place in 2012. As with every year, this year the Nintendo Direct took place in September, more precisely on September 24, 2021. Interested parties from all over the world were able to follow the event on the internet. If you want to watch the video again, you can watch it on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.
Retro games are coming back
Those who love Nintendo’s retro games can look forward to it, as Nintendo has announced the release of more classic games for a new Nintendo Switch online membership. The first Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games are expected to appear by the end of October. Members of the new paid online offer called “Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack” can also play selected classics in co-op mode with up to four players. After a while, users will be offered two new controllers for sale. These should be similar to the original controllers in the Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis. Pricing and exact release date will be followed in the future. Newer games include Super Mario 64 and Nintendo 64 from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Sonic the Hedgehog and Castlevania: Bloodlines from SEGA Genesis.
Switch fans can expect this
In addition to the classic games, some new content has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. This will be a lot for Nintendo fans next year as well. For example, many Animal Crossing fans can expect a free update in November. Nintendo video game character Kirby gets the new game. “Kirby and the Forgotten Land” will appear in the spring of 2022. Racer “Request” for Switch will be available soon. It is scheduled to release in the fall of 2021. The third installment of the popular game series “Splatoon” has also been announced. Although there is no exact release date yet, it is clear that the game will be released in 2022. The popular game “Mario Party” gets a new part. Mario Party Superstars will be available on October 18th. All special game content and when it will be released can be found on the Nintendo website.
Super Mario movie
The release date and star cast for the Super Mario animated film have been announced. It was previously reported that the animation studio will be working with Illumination for the film. Ilumination is known for successful animated films such as “I – Simply Despicable” and “Sing”. The film is scheduled to release in the United States on December 21, 2022. Release dates for Europe and Asia will be announced later. The vocalists include popular actors like Chris Broad as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach or Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong.
