Super Bowl meet sure: Tom Brady’s Buchanan takes on defending champions – Sports

Quarterback legend Tom Brady has the chance to win the Super Bowl for the tenth time in his career and will meet with defending champion Patrick Mahoms and Kansas mayor. For the first time Brady is competing with a team other than the New England Patriots – and for the first time in NFL history there will be a home advantage in the Super Bowl. Ten months after announcing his move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady led his new team against the Green Bay Packers at 31:26 on Sunday. On February 7 (local time) the Chiefs are now asking for a fight, he won against the Buffalo Bills 38:24.

The Super Bowl will be played in front of 22,000 spectators at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. A home team is never involved. “Whenever you can do something first, this is usually a fantastic thing,” said Brady, who waits for the time to kick off the German night on February 8 (0.30am CET). “It’s going to be two wonderful weeks.” With six Super Bowl wins, Brady is already a record holder in the NFL. He won all the titles in 20 years with the Patriots, from which he said goodbye in March 2019.

Brady was also responsible for the fact that the game against the positive Bakers around Aaron Rodgers in the quarterback was still exciting despite having an 18-point lead. After a regular and strong performance in the first half, he made three interruptions in the second half. All three of these resulted in points for the Packers. A series of such failures had occurred only once before in Brady’s long life.

But the bakers also made a mistake. After a touchdown in the third quarter, they tried to close the gap with two extra points instead of one, but Rogers’ throw to German-American pass taker Ecumenical St. Brown could not keep the ball in the final zone. Shortly afterwards, coach Matt Loughlor decided on a field goal instead of trusting Rodgers for a touchdown pass on the fourth attempt eight yards from the final zone.

Although frustrated Rodgers describes his future with the Packers as “uncertain” after the game, Brady’s interesting life is further enhanced by another episode of the Super Bowl. The best opponent is waiting for him with the chiefs. (dpa)
