Sameer App: Prakash Javadekar appeals to all Indians to download mobile application to track pollution

New Delhi, October 18: Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday appealed to all Indian citizens to download the ‘Sameer’ mobile application. The app, available on the Google Play Store, allows the user to track pollution in real time. Complaints regarding dumping of garbage at construction sites and violation of regulations can also be submitted through the application. I urge everyone to download an app called “Sameer” which will give you complete information about the polluted areas in different cities of the country. It marks areas with heavy pollution with a red mark, ”said Javadekar.

The environment minister has appealed for the use of gas to shift to electric vehicles, which will drastically reduce the release of pollutants and other carbon particles into the air.

According to Javadekar, e-vehicles are gradually gaining popularity in India. The minister revealed that he is an e-vehicle user as it is environmentally friendly.

“Currently, there are over two lakh e-vehicles in use in our country. E-vehicles are popular in India. I use e-vehicles myself,” Javadekar said.
