Unity beat Jeff Bezos’ similar record in nine days, starting with its new Shepherd on July 20th
“This is wonderful, a dream”, were the first words of the British billionaire on his shuttle.
Bad weather delayed launch – The launch of the Virgin Galactic spacecraft has been postponed for 90 minutes due to the weather in the New Mexico desert. Strong winds last night prevented the spacecraft from taking off from its space.
Branson won a nine-day record similar to that of his direct rival Jeff Bezos, which will launch on July 20 at his new Shepherd. In any case it will not be a flight between the stars: Branson and Bezos will reach space, but will intersect their path with the atmosphere and then return to Earth.
The flight with France will be pilots Dave McKay and Michael Moussey, instructor Beth Moses, engineer Colin Bennett and Sirisha Bandla, vice president of government affairs and research at Virgin.
