After a two-and-a-half-hour search, Divers found the missing person in the freezing cold at Teach in Trepower Park and pulled him out of the water.
The fire department wrote on Twitter that he was taken by ambulance to a special hospital under resurrection conditions. No information was given about the man’s condition.
A fire department spokesman said three men appeared to have deliberately entered an iceberg Wednesday morning, possibly for swimming or diving.
Two of them had already come ashore by the time the fire brigade arrived. Initially, no information was available about the age of the participants. Rescue workers were alerted at 8:50 p.m.
Both comrades of the previously missing person are slightly hypothermic and will be taken care of in the ambulance – including pastoral care.
A spokesman said a total of 52 firefighters were stationed at the Corp Pond in Trevor Park. A boat and drone had to be used to search for the missing, and paramedics wore special ice rescue cases.
First, the fire brigade tweeted that people had broken the ice. Warnings were issued before stepping on the ice surface. On Wednesday, the German Meteorological Service expects maximum values of -3 to -8 degrees during the day.
