The rover sends a panoramic image of Mars

Mars is known as a hospitable planet. If you want a more accurate look, you can now find the detailed panorama photo on the NASA website. It shows the rover’s context of “perseverance”.

The American rover “Perseverance” has sent a high-resolution panorama image from Mars. The robot rotated 360 degrees on Sunday with a mast-attached camera on its surface, the US space agency NASA said. Then, from 142 photos taken in the process A panorama image was created near the rover with a high resolution of three to five millimeters and two to three meters away.

The film shows the scree, mountains and horizon surrounding the arid lake “Jesero Gorge” with a diameter of about 45 km, which “diligence” is to investigate in the next two years. Prior to that, “Perseverance” (in German: tolerance) had already released a first panorama image and spectacular video images of its landing and the first sound recordings from the surface of the Red Planet.

The size of a small car is about 1,000 kilograms of rover last week – after 203 flying days and 472 million kilometers – Landed on Mars. The $ 2.5 billion (approximately 2 2.2 billion) rover took eight years to grow and build. He must search for traces of previous microbial life on Mars and study the planet’s climate and geography. “Perseverance” is already the fifth rover NASA has brought to Mars – the last “Curiosity” to arrive there in 2012. Earlier Mars had also sent vast images from planet to Earth.
