New football game online performance test.

Every day you see something like that: Konami’s demo of PES 2022 appeared quietly and secretly on Xbox and PlayStation stores.

It’s not called PES 2022 or something like that, but it does ask for the exciting title of “New Football Game Online Performance Test”.

You can find them here Microsoft Store (Series X / S and Xbox One) and PlayStation Store (PS4, PS5). No need for PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold.

It is available from midnight and you can play it until July 8, 2021. Below you will find – thanks to our English Eurocomer colleagues – a little game from it, more precisely the game between Manchester United and FC Bayern Munich:

Interestingly, the demo was not officially announced in advance and was not in the news releases or on social media.

Konami told Eurocommernet today that the purpose of the demo was to test the quality of matchmaking and connectivity to servers. All aspects of the game – from game dynamics and balance to animation and assets – are still in the middle of development. You should also expect bugs and crashes.

With PES 2022, Konami is converting this series to Unreal Engine. In addition to Manchester United and FC Bayern, Juventus Turin and FC Barcelona are also available in the demo.

Cross-gen play is possible between the PS4 and PS5 and the Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.

So first, the real forecast, though not yet complete. So check it out only if you want to help Konami a little on the technology page by checking the links. But you do not get the real look of the finished game.
