Users who accept them will share their personal data with Facebook, Instagram and other companies in the group. Without the opportunity to refuse.

WhatsApp’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy update will take place on February 8th. Until then all users will receive a notification to accept it.

Otherwise, they will not be able to use the app from that date.

Because for the two billion WhatsApp users there is no longer a viable alternative: it will be “yes” or “bye bye”.

    Think before you click

However, these new terms require you to share phone numbers, names, profile photos, status and contact directory with other companies in the Facebook group. Include listing transaction data, information about services used, connection detection, smartphone IP address, etc.

The application explains these new terms by integrating activated news sites:

“As part of the companies’ Facebook family, WhatsApp receives information from the families of these companies and shares it with them. We can use the information we receive, she can use the information we share ”.

In other examples, someone linking to a company’s Facebook page may see a WhatsApp button displayed to communicate directly with them.

Creating such an interface “customer relationship” is actually a way for Mark Zuckerberg’s company to turn WhatsApp, its property since 2014, into a profitable application.

Not sure if followers of encrypted messages are listening to it …
