You can easily stream your content on TV with the Sky Ticket TV Stick. Does that also work with Sky Go or does it have a dedicated stick for it?

To use Sky Content on your own four walls, you usually have two options: either you can get a long-term subscription to Sky Q or opt for a flexible ski ticket, which you can cancel on a monthly basis. Although you can stream on the go with Sky Ticket Apps, you need Sky Go Apps via Sky Q to access your content on the go. But you don’t want to watch your show on the small screen of your smartphone when you are with friends or on vacation, but what to do on a TV? Do you have a Sky Go Stick that allows you to do that? We explain to you what your options are.

Not a Sky Customer yet? In Video We explain to you how Sky Tickets work:

Does Sky Go work via Sky Ticket TV Stick?

Although Sky runs its own TV stick, it can not only stream all content from Sky Tickets, but also access Netflix, Amazon Prime and many other media libraries, which is not the case with Sky Go. To access current TV shows and media libraries, you need the Sky Q receiver, which is usually available for free with the Sky subscription. However, it is not practical to carry the receiver with you when you are on the go. This is where it becomes difficult because there are so many alternatives Do not offer themselves to you.

Sky Go Stick: What are the alternatives?

In the meantime, streaming your content via Google Chromecast is no longer possible, but you can use Sky Go as an alternative to the Fire TV stick. From the official point of view, there are only three options if you need free Sky Q apps:

    • Samsung Smart TV: Owners of Samsung TVs need to download the Sky Q app and use it to stream their content. But be careful: the prerequisite for this is a TV from the Tizen operating system and model year 2015.
    • LG Smart TV: This is not very different from LG’s competition. Here you can use the app on your device as you need a TV made between 2015 and 2019 and at least Web OS 2.0.
    • Apple TV: Apple customers do not go empty-handed. However, to download the Sky Q app from the App Store, you need the fourth generation of the well-known set-top box.

Netflix or Amazon Prime? Use the quiz to test which subscription is best for you.
