Nokia X20 Test: Very Hard Medium Range

Nokia X20 Test: Very Hard Medium Range

While the Nokia X20 may provide a display of 4 photo galleries, only two are of interest to us here: the main volume is 64 megapixels and the ultra-wide-angle volume is 5 megapixels. It has a macro module and a 2 megapixel depth sensor.

Volume Primary: 64 megapixels, f / 1,8, eq. 24 mm.

By default, the Nokia X20 takes 16 megapixels. 64 megapixel mode is available to get better definition images. While sometimes the difference in quality between the two methods is not obvious, this was not the case on our smartphone of the day. The 64-megapixel image makes a lot of difference, as opposed to the huge details we see in the 16-megapixel image. An invention that applies to both daytime and nighttime photography.

At 16 megapixels, the Nokia X20 manages to deliver a well-exposed shot, with good color reproduction. However, the software processing softens many details and the variation is not large. Some color changes should be noted in some parts of the image.

At night, the image is completely smoothed to cover digital noise due to increased sensitivity (ISO 6400). Some colors are slightly flatter, but we can emphasize the perfect expression.

Ultra wide-angle volume: 5 megapixels, f / 2.2

None of the ultra wide-angle modules are reliable. Image quality is reduced by software processing both day and night. Also, in low light, the photo is completely obscured, and this cuts off all the details of our test scene.

Front module, portrait and video mode

On the front, the smartphone has a 32-megapixel volume. An important definition that does not translate into a wonderful result. So the scenes captured with the front camera are slightly different, with saturated color rendering when we don’t have light conditions. Portrait mode is useful in contrast to its role. Clipping is done without many problems, the phone will only stumble upon small details like distorted hair or beard hair.

In video, the Nokia X20 can only shoot up to 1080p at 60 or 30 fps. No optical or electronic confirmation.
