Nintendo has released the latest firmware update for the Nintendo Switch. Any console owner can get their hands on version 13.0.1. Once update 13.0 is installed, we get the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Regarding today’s Switch 13.1.0 update, Nintendo says the following:
- Added support for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
- Common system stability improvements to improve user experience.
Subscribers to the new Expansion Pack Level for Nintendo Switch Online will have access to a variety of N64 and SEGA Megadrive games, including Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Phantasy Star IV, Streets Rage 2 and many more. The full list of topics is available here. In addition, the service will offer the new Happy Home Paradise DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will launch next week.
Go to System Settings and download today’s update 13.1.0. Go to the “System” tab and select “System Update”. Note that Nintendo is currently in maintenance, so once all of these are deployed, you can access the N64 and SEGA Genesis games by downloading new applications from eShop.
About a month after its announcement, it has finally arrived. Nintendo has now introduced the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Note that you currently pay € 19.99 per year for the Nintendo Switch online single plan and € 39.99 per year.
With the Nintendo Switch Online + Extension Pack, you get access to two new libraries of retro games. The pack includes libraries for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive and Nintendo 64. When Expansion Pass starts tonight, you can play 9 Nintendo 64 games and 14 Sega Genesis / Mega Drive games.
