Dust has now settled into another crowded game awards event, and there have been several big announcements for Nintendo Switch fans. The main attractions of DGA 2020 for Switch gamers are the revelation of Zebroth DLC for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and the new trailer for the fantastic looking Monster Hunter Rise. But at DGA 2020 Capcom also revealed the new free download that goes with the Nintendo Switch, which seems unacceptable if you are a fan of retro gaming.
Next year Capcom will be exploring their back-to-back sock-a-block full of all-time adults for the upcoming Capcom Arcade Stadium set.
As the name suggests, this incoming game allows switch gamers to run classic capcom titles from the arcade glory days of the 80s and 90s.
Capcom Arcade Stadium is initially available for free download, and allows you to play the awesome Shamup 1943 – Midway War without paying a penny.
The original version of the iconic hard-nails operating system Ghosts N Coblins is also available as a free add-on.
A total of 32 games will be run on the Capcom Arcade Classic Switch collection, however you will need to download the DLC packs to play other games.
Still, 1943 and Goblins Goblins are incredibly free downloads that you will not want to miss.
In addition, Capcom Arcade Stadium offers a number of modern features to this iconic insert coin classic.
You can compete for higher scores with players from all over the world, while there are a variety of background frames for you to choose from – including one that mimics old-school arcade, allowing you to play a game of presenting a 3D arcade cabinet.
Various arcade cabinet designs are on display, including the adorable Capcom Mini Cute Candy Cart.
Capcom Arcade Stadium is coming to Switch for free download in February 2021.
