Nintendo is taking on Disney

Nintendo is taking Disney to the battle of theme parks

Nintendo is taking Disney to the world’s first Super Mario World Battle of the theme parks starting in 2021.

The original opening has been postponed due to the global coronavirus epidemic, but has now announced that it hopes to open to the public in 2021.

The long-awaited Super Nintendo World sees live attractions, augmented reality and seamless integration of mobile apps that will truly become a future experience.

While the actual garden beauty is very secretive, Nintendo has released a number of images along with a music video to promote the park and engage some marketing hype to launch it in the future.

Young and old alike will be able to enjoy restaurants, cafes, bars, omnivorous rides (similar to those experienced at Disney’s Haunted Manor) and real life pitching guests along with unique attractions including the Mario Kart. Against themselves in a real track environment, however, its techniques of how it actually works are kept a secret.

Park guests are registered on arrival and compete in the park against their friends, family and other guests with a mix of downloadable app and real-life “power-up bands”. Although this is the first experience of its kind, it is likely to match the park and surpass the experience gained at many of Disney’s theme parks and resorts.
