Nintendo eShop results on WiiU and 3DS announced in March 2023 – News

It is part of the natural life cycle of any product line and is less used by consumers over time. Nintendo announces the completion of the eShop on WiiU and 3DS in its FAQ with its newsletter, within a year of its implementation in Japan. The manufacturer announces that if the service interruption is scheduled for the end of March 2023, it will not be able to credit its eShop account from May 23, 2022 and will not be able to use prepaid cards from August 29 of the same year. Cards still on sale in stores will sell as long as the stock lasts, and can be used to credit your switch wallet. Download codes are valid until the last minute. Users who link their Nintendo Network ID account with their Nintendo Account Wallet on Switch will be able to use their Nintendo Account Balance on the site of their choice until the end of March 2023.

However, Nintendo at the same time wants to guarantee that all purchases made on WiiU and 3DS – games and DLC can be re-downloaded after the service date expires. Software updates will be maintained just like playing online. However, the company did not specify that a limited number of games exclusive to the WiiU and 3DS are sold in pure and simple missing and dematerialized form only. And There are many of them, especially in the 3DS range.

Finally, there is the question of multiple topics published in the virtual consoles of the two sites. To this question, Nintendo casually answers: ” As part of our Nintendo Switch online subscriptions, more than 130 classic games are now available in expandable libraries for various older consoles. Games are often upgraded with new features like online games. We believe this is a great way to make classic content easily accessible to a wide variety of players. In these libraries, new and long-time gamers can not only find the games they remember or hear, but also find other fun games that they do not expect to see. We have no plans to offer classic content any other way. Currently 130 games are accessible, which is far from the list of virtual consoles on the two sites involved. So the little artisan still has time to shop before tidying up his shop.
