New World: Amazon’s MMO is losing players soon

It started with Amazon’s first great game player recordings. However, a promising start does not guarantee lasting success. Over the weeks the players have migrated in droves, bringing the project down slightly from its soaring plane. But the game remains a success.

On October 3, six days after the sale began, New World servers recorded about 913,000 simultaneous player attacks. With only 650,000 players left on October 7, server problems would have made a good contribution. One month after its release on November 1, there were 350,000 players, which loses an average of 140,000 users a week.

There are critical points

Judging by the reviews, it reveals that it was not just the start that caused so many players to leave. New World currently has good 74 percent positive reviews on both Steam and Ann Metacritic Grind, missing story or weak background story and errors are criticized. In addition, according to reviews, there is still a lack of variety in the endcam. So not enough is happening here after the beta tests.

Bugs in particular are currently plaguing the game. For example, Amazon acknowledged that chat windows can also generate unlimited gold by exploiting HTML code. Can. Talented users created the game not only to put spam pictures in the chat and toss other players from the server, but also to distribute imaginary search rewards. So basically you can get gold. Because of this, Amazon had to do every kind of business DeactivateTo prevent massive inflation of all prices.

Uncertain future

However, the demise of the MMO is by no means certain. Games with a service concept do not have to be perfect at the beginning, or a crash does not mean an immediate end if the development of a project is understood as a permanent process. Very few players allowed. It is important to know when migration is declining: severe losses are normal in the first few days after the sale begins, but after four weeks the numbers should generally equalize.

Compared to other titles like Fallout 76, Path of Exile or Destiny 2, New World still has some buffers. According to SteamCharts, Bungie’s Shooter attracts 65,000 players a day, but can also be played on consoles not included in these figures. But New World is not going the wrong way: according to its Steam record, 30.5 percent of all buyers have played for at least 80 hours – or have been suspended.
