New update to download for insiders

Microsoft has released the third version of Windows 11 for Insiders. New features are small: new eco menu and widget for entertainment. Let’s look at this in detail.

If you have Windows 11 installed on your PC or virtual machine, you can download the latest update now. Microsoft has created 22000.71 (KB5004252) on the Dave Channel for Insiders with other updates including the .NET Framework. The update mainly brings two new features:

• The “Entertainment” widget that appears with the weather and news widget after clicking on the widgets icon in the taskbar. It aims to showcase content from the Microsoft Store and especially recent films. To enable it, click the “Add Widgets” button and select it.

• “Acrylic” effect on context menus. You can right-click on the desktop or in File Explorer, and you’ll want to take advantage of the new transparency effects and drop shadows. This effect also appears on thumbnails that appear after hovering over the application fitted to the taskbar.
