Picture: Iyama

165 Hz is the new 144 Hz. This idea arises because more and more gaming monitors have a higher update rate. AOC and iiyama have new additions with 165 Hz. Both offer WQHD resolution at a radius of about 32 inches.

Has AOC Q32G3S Electricity On one Chinese Product Page Found. It is not clear when the monitor will appear in Europe. The iiyama G-Master GB3271QSU-B1 Red Eagle Will be back in Germany soon and will cost around 450 euros.

Twice IPS with WQHD and 165 Hz

Both have a flat IPS panel with 31.5 inches diagonal and 8-bit color depth and 165 Hz refresh rate. With 2,560 × 1,440 pixels, the pixel density in each case is 93 ppi.

There are deviations in other important data. According to the data sheet, the iiyama monitor offers higher brightness (400 instead of 250 cd / m²) and higher contrast ratio (1,200: 1 instead of 1,000: 1). The Iiyama model offers more connections and features two DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 2.0s and a USB hub with four ports. The AOC monitor offers DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 sockets, but no USB. Both models have audio output and integrated speakers are only available from iiyama. In both cases there is height adjustment and in each case there is no central function.

165 Hz is becoming more common, 360 Hz is still rare

HP recently introduced a total of seven gaming monitors in the X series, all of which operate at 165 Hz. Models with 240 Hz or 360 Hz have been available for a long time, but the latter are still very rare. With AGON PRO AG254FG AOC also recently offered a 360 Hz monitor.
