Former Rio de Janeiro mayor Dominico Lugano has been sentenced to life in prison for allegedly manipulating immigrants at the end of a “Xenia” trial by Logri court judges. Lugano was sent to the Criminal Association, office abuse, fraud, extortion, fraud, auction disruption, ideological lying and aiding and abetting illegal immigration. Today’s sentence is almost double the 7 years and 11 months required for a public trial.
