Microsoft's new Outlook email client is live (at least for now)

For more than a year, Microsoft has been working to integrate its Outlook email clients into Windows, Mac, and the Web. Today – now anyway – you can download the new Outlook even though Microsoft has not officially released the product yet.

Windows Central Will be given Link to download the “New Outlook” May 6. For those who have Microsoft 365 / Office 365 work and education accounts it seems to work now.

As the new Outlook looks like Outlook.com, those expecting a big change may be disappointed, sources said. The new Outlook has taken over my Outlook for Windows settings, including disabling Focused Inbox by default. I did not save my option to disable the view of the dialogs, but it is easy to adjust it in the settings. Otherwise, the interface is similar to Outlook.com’s interface, but with more functionality available in the menus, including the ability to set a retention policy.

    “Project Monarch” and “One Outlook”

The new Outlook, known as “Project Monarch” and “One Outlook” during its development, was tested locally by Microsoft for several months. Earlier this year I was informed by my contacts that Microsoft would announce the new Outlook in the spring and that a trial version for Windows insiders on the Dave and Beta channels would be available by the end of March or early April 2022. But this is not yet the case. Case.

My contacts announced earlier this year that when Microsoft releases the next feature update for Windows 10 and 11 in October 2022, the new Outlook will be an option and will be integrated with existing built-in Mail and Calendar apps. Microsoft will try to get Windows users to try out the new Outlook, but this calendar year does not seem to force users to move to it. I do not know if next year Microsoft Windows users will follow the new Outlook and remove existing mail and calendar applications.

According to an initial leak, Microsoft officials did not There are no plans to replace the old Win 32 Outlook client with the new Outlook.

Microsoft currently offers different versions of Outlook for Windows, Mac, web, iOS and Android devices. Mobile versions are based on the Acompli technology he purchased. Microsoft refers to all of these types as “Outlook”. The new One Outlook – also known as “Outlook” when available – will work on Windows desktops (Win32 / UWP; Intel and Arm), the Internet and MacOS desktops.
