Microsoft has announced that the standard version of Microsoft Edge 88.0.705.74 for Windows and MacOS will be available immediately, including the latest security updates to the Chromium program. The unplanned update only includes bug fixes and security improvements: in the new version, Microsoft CVE-2021-21149, CVE-2021-21150, CVE-2021-21151, CVE-2021-21152, CVE-2021-21153, CVE -2021- 21154, CVE-2021-21155, CVE-2021-21156, and CVE-2021-21157 fixed several important vulnerabilities in older versions of Microsoft Edge. As always, access to the details is restricted until most users receive this update. Update for version 88.0.705.74 is based on version 88.0.4324.182 of Chromium, and can now be downloaded via the update function via the menu with three dots -> Help and Feedback -> Information about Microsoft Edge, or installed directly from the official website. Depending on the standard channel, updates are released gradually in one or more days. Users who have installed an older version of the Edge will receive an update automatically. If you do not want to wait too long, you can start the update manually: Open the Edge and click the three dot button in the upper right corner of the window -> click Help and Feedback and then about Microsoft Edge -> When this dialog box opens, Edge looks for updates – > If you get an update, click Restart to activate it. If required, the update can be downloaded manually from the official website.
