Microsoft Previews KB5003690 for Windows 10 Edition 2004, 20H2 and 21H1

Microsoft has released an overnight preview of the latest update for Windows 10 version 21H1, version 20H2 and version 2004. Non-security update KB5003690 contains only bug fixes: In the update history, Microsoft lists more than 30 bugs fixed with this update. The update brings the Windows 10 version 2004, 20H2 and 21H1 to OS built-in 19041.1081, 19042.1081 and 19043.1081, and can be downloaded via the Windows Update or from the Microsoft Update list. June 21, 2021 – Preview of KB5003690 (OS 19041.1081, 19042.1081, and 19043.1081)

There are quality improvements in this non-security update. Major changes include:

• Updates the issue to a smaller subset of users with less than expected performance in games after KB5000842 is installed or later.
• Updates an issue where the Japanese input method editor (IME) may suddenly stop working while you type.
• Signing in with a PIN fixes a failed issue. Error message „Something happened and your post is not available. Click to reset your PIN. “
• In some cases, exiting yourself from the exclusive Virtual Reality (VR) application and pressing the Windows button on the controller updates the issue of returning to the Windows Mixed Reality home.
• Updates the issue of causing blurred text on the News and Interests button in the Windows taskbar for some screen resolutions.
• Updates an issue with the Windows taskbar search box graphics, which can occur if you right-click on the taskbar and disable news and interests. This graphics problem is especially noticeable when using dark mode.
• Updates an issue that may prevent you from using your fingerprint to sign in after a startup or wake your device from sleep.
