Microsoft is releasing Office updates for January 2022

Microsoft has released an insecure update for Office 2016 this evening. All updates released in Part 1 of Patchday for January 2022 are optional updates for Microsoft Project 2016. It is best to use Microsoft Update to automatically download and install new updates, even if you have downloaded and installed the update manually at Microsoft Download Center. Installation is recommended, but no security updates need to be installed. Updates provide the latest fixes for Microsoft Office and improve the stability and performance of the software. On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, as part of the January 2022 Patch Day, Microsoft released the following non-security updates for Microsoft Office. • Update for Microsoft Project 2016 (KB4504713) – This article describes update 4504713 for Microsoft Project 2016, released on January 4, 2022. This update fixes the following issue: Consider a calendar to be associated with progressive work, and include non-standard working hours in the calendar. If the program is opened from the Microsoft Project server and saved as an MPP file, unwanted splits will be introduced into the task. Unexpected splits can extend the work deadline and extend the project work deadline.
