Microsoft has released the KB5006728 security update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 as part of today’s Patch Day of October 2021. This update includes security updates and other enhancements that can now be downloaded from the Windows Server Update Services and Microsoft Update Catalog. You can see the list of resolved and unresolved issues with Microsoft in this update. It can only be installed under Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with ESU. Users who purchase the ESU Extended Security Update must follow certain procedures to continue receiving security updates after the extended support expires on January 14, 2020.
