MacOS Ventura Wallpapers for Mac, iPhone and iPad

During the last keynote address in early June, Apple announced the arrival of the MacOS Ventura for Mac next fall. Throughout the summer, the software will be in beta-testing phase. The first beta version is available today. Unfortunately, not all Mac computers can do the update, apparently due to technical limitations. Many new features of the OS will be particularly resource-intensive, including the Stage Manager feature that enhances the management of active application windows.

But users of older Macs can increase the speed in advance by installing one of two new wallpapers that are exclusive to the OS. These are the default. In a nutshell, they represent the California poppy flower, one of the symbols of the Ventura District, a coastal city in California. They actually show the same image, available in two versions, one light, the other dark, and two related macos display modes, light and dark.

Here’s how to install one of these two wallpapers on your PC, but not the iPhone and iPad.

How to get these wallpapers?

On Mac:

• Go to one of the two links seen above in Safari
• Open the desired image in a new window
• Then, right-click and select “Save Image As”
• On your Mac’s Settings, open the “Desktop and Screen Saver” section
• Drag the wallpaper file from the finder to the current wallpaper image, or use the “+” in the bottom left to add a folder with new wallpapers and select the desired image.

Tip: In Safari, when the wallpaper is open in the Apple Browser tab, to go even faster, right-click and click “Use Image as Desktop Image”.

On iPhone and iPad:

• Go to one of the two links seen above in Safari
• Press the image for a long time
• Select “Add to Photos”
• On the desired wallpaper, go to the Photos app
• Tap the “Share” icon
• Select “Use as wallpaper”
