The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) publishes the 12-digit ID, which is essential for everyday tasks these days, especially online. However, we do not always have a physical copy of our Aadhaar card. An e-source will be enough to get all those services.
There are two ways to download e-Aadhaar – by using the registration number and by using the Aadhaar number.
Now UIDAI has introduced a new feature for Aadhaar cardholders. Under this new facility, Aadhar cardholders can download their Aadhar card online through face authentication through the official website of UIDAI.
Under this new feature, Aadhar card holders will go to the official website of UIDAI, enter their Aadhar number and show their face, and their Aadhar card will be downloaded.
However, it is important that only a copy of the original Aadhaar card is downloaded. The e-Aadhar card is approved everywhere in India.
Steps to download Aadhar card with face recognition:
Visit the UIDAI website: uidai.gov.in
At the bottom of the homepage, click on the ‘Get Aadhar Card’ option
You will now be redirected to a new page where you will find the option for face recognition under the Aadhaar Card section.
Before selecting the ‘Face Recognition’ option, you must enter your mobile number and captcha.
Now you need to verify your face through the authentication process.
Clicking “OK” will open your device’s camera, and then UIDAI will automatically click on your image.
Once your photo is clicked and verified, you can successfully download your Aadhaar card.
