iOS 15.4: Beta 4 brings major changes

The final version of iOS 15.4, which will be released in a few weeks, comes with a number of features: Face ID with mask authentication, Tap to Pay, Global Control on the iPod, Updated Siri Voice … This operating system is an update to the latest updates on Beta 4.

As expected, Apple’s iOS 15.3 release will be available for developers of iOS 15.4 (and related operating systems such as iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS). We are still waiting for some great iOS 15 features to be released this spring, and this beta is finally making its first appearance in Universal Control (with macOS 12.3 beta). It is believed that these features will appear in the beta test versions of the OS, but Apple may still delay them.

Has Face ID with universal control and mask

The iPadOS 15.4 Beta 4 finally brings the Universal Control feature, which was supposed to be released last fall, but has been delayed until the spring of 2022. This feature allows you to drag and drop files between the iPad and Mac (or different Macs). Sharing the wireless keyboard and mouse between them can be found in the General Settings AirPlay & Handoff tab. Users can find the cursor and keyboard (beta) option. Better late than never, isn’t it?

Although iOS 14.5 allows Apple Watch to unlock the iPhone when Face ID does not work, it is not very useful for those who do not have a watch. Apple is lucky to have the opportunity to identify Face ID by mask. Added a command to use Face ID with the mask in Face ID and Passcode settings. If enabled, Facial ID will “use unique features around the eye area to authenticate” rather than full-face authentication, including opening, payment, and password / login authentication. There is also a “Add glasses” system so that the computer can accurately identify facial features. Note that the Health App now supports EU Covid digital certification format. So your vaccine record can be added to Health and Wallet applications in supported areas.

The AirTag has been modified to deal with complaints

Following recent user complaints, Apple has announced a number of AirTake changes this year. The first updates are available in iOS 15.4. AirTake added a warning message during Apple’s setup that “it is designed to be detected by victims and to allow law enforcement to request identifiable information about the owner.” It also warns that it is a crime to use air tags to track people without their permission.

The androgenic voice of laughter in the United States

Apple has so far added an extra voice to laughter exclusively for the United States. The new voice is simply named America (Voice 5). But when we listen to what she says, we notice that she is somewhat androgenic and that it is difficult to define whether she is explicitly masculine or feminine. As part of its current diversification efforts, Apple told Axios that it had hired a “member of the LGBTQ + community” to record this Siri voice. It is not yet known whether the latter will be offered in other languages. Apple currently offers only five American voices and two for all other languages.

Last year, Apple removed the default female voice on iOS 14.5 and added three voices, including two options recorded by black actors. At the time, Apple’s voice options were a continuation of Apple’s long-standing commitment to diversity and content, and products and services designed to better reflect the diversity of the world in which we live.

Other minor updates

In its iOS 15.4 beta 4, Apple has made some minor changes, such as: DualSense Adaptive Triggers to support developers’ adaptive trigger feature of the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. On the emoji page, several dozen additional emojis are part of the Unicode consortium. Emoji 14 Release. These include melting face, moving face, biting lip, jar, beans, x-ray, blisters and more.

As for managing passwords in Safari, it does not silently store passwords for websites in the absence of a login ID. Instead, it will ask for your username, so you have complete password input. ProMotion is supported on third-party applications. The iPhone 13 Pro brought 120 Hz promotion to the iPhone, but support for the app was somewhat limited due to a core animation bug, which limited most third-party application animations to 60 Hz with iOS 15.4, a bug in the core animation, and a partisan app that uses the third framework Receives 120Hz animations.

Manage funds at Apple

The Apple Card widget also creates a look that can be added to the home screen or Today View. It shows the current balance and expenses related to the bank account. Another change: Apple added a tape-to-back framework to iOS 15.4. This payment processing feature allows iPhones to accept Apple Pay payments without the need for a credit card terminal or additional hardware. Although the configuration has been detected, it is not yet active – it cannot currently be used as a beta tester.
