Apple now offers iOS 14.5.1 (built-in 18E212) on the iPhone and iPods 14.5.1 on the iPod. This update comes just days after the final release of iOS 14.5.

iOS 14.5 was a big update, especially for privacy and the ability to unlock your iPhone while wearing a mask using the Apple Watch. In contrast, iOS 14.5.1 is a link update. Here is what Apple says:
This update fixes an issue with the transparency of application tracking, which may prevent users from having “Disable application tracking requests” in the settings from being asked after re-enabling the option. This update also brings important security updates. It is recommended for all users.
To download iOS 14.5.1, go to Settings> General> Software Update. Otherwise, you can go to our exclusive page listing the different firmware. You can download the update and then perform a manual installation from your Mac (via Finder) or Windows PC (via iTunes).
iOS 12.5.3 is also in the program
Note that Apple offers iOS 12.5.3 (creating 16H41) for devices that are not compatible with iOS 13 (hence iOS 14). This includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPod Touch 6G, iPod Air, iPod Mini 2 and iPod Mini 3.
