INVALSI Tests II and V Primary School, Grades 2 and 5, 2021-2022: Circular Download with Tests System

The INVALSI 2022 tests for Primary Classes II and V, Grade 2 and Grade 5 are built according to the same design already adopted in previous years.

Italian source

The Italian test is divided into two parts: one for reading comprehension and the other for reflecting language. Both measure language ability, one of the basic skills the school needs to develop. Grade 2 children included in the national sample also undergo a reading speed test.

Math exam

The math test examines numbers, relationships, data and predictions, as well as problem-solving and arguing skills in three areas: location and statistics. In all three tests, it depends on moral knowledge, but the questions often start with real-life issues, and learn how students should reflect on the reasons for their choices.

English test

The English test measures the listening and reading skills established by the CEFR and is reported in the National Guidelines. The language level that Grade 5 students should achieve is A1 for both skills.

How the rehearsal takes place

In elementary school children carry out experiments on paper files, so in the form most familiar to them. They do not have to move out of the classroom, so the tests do not require tools or environments other than the ones they use at school every day.

II Primary (Grade 2)

The reading test is conducted by students of all middle classes of elementary schools in the Italian language of the autonomous province of Bolzano.

Mathematics

• Performance Date: May 9, 2022
• Test Duration: 45 minutes (15 minutes for students with disabilities or students with SLD)
• Paper format.

V Primary (Grade 5)

Postponement requests for grades II and V of elementary school

The educational institution may request the postponement of the 2022 exams for elementary school only on the condition that the dates of the INVALSI 2022 exams be posted on the INVALSI website before September 16, 2021.

Documents proving the need for deferral

The document justifying the postponement must show the protocol date before September 16, 2021. The request must be recorded and signed by the principal.

Request to defer where and when to send it

The request should be scanned and sent to INVALSI through the Questions and Answers form and the information sent to the Regional Liaison Officer. To receive the postponement, the school must have already completed enrollment in the 2022 survey. The postponement will be deemed to have been granted only after obtaining the written approval of INVALSI. Postponement requests must be received by Friday 31 December 2021.
