In fact, all users of Internet Explorer should now switch to Microsoft Edge (the latest version with the Chromium engine). This may seem trivial, but in the corporate and government sector in particular, special software that is compatible with a particular (old) browser is used and does not support other (new) browsers. These applications should now be ready as soon as possible to switch to another, more modern browser. In the worst case, it would be republishing the program in question.

However, Microsoft has a lifeline for users of such programs: “IE mode” in Edge. So old applications that require Internet Explorer can be started with “IE Mode”.
