Install stickers on WhatsApp – how it works

If plain text messages bore you too much, you can spice up your WhatsApp chats with stickers. D-Online shows you step by step what you need to do for it.

Emojis should now be part of the standard review for most WhatsApp users. But in addition to small smileys and pictures, WhatsApp offers another way to breathe fresh air into chat processes.

Many free stickers are available from 2018 for many downloads that are significantly larger and more detailed than classic emojis. T-Online shows you how to install stickers on your iPhone or Android smartphone.

WhatsApp stickers for iphone

To use stickers on your iPhone, proceed as follows:

• First, open WhatsApp on your iPhone and select any chat history.
• Tap on the sticker icon in the text field and then tap on the plus icon to come to the sticker pack selection.

• WhatsApp will now display all available sticker packs.
• If you like one, tap the down arrow to download it. Once the stickers have been successfully added, you will see a check mark to their right.

• To send one of the added stickers to your chat partners, tap the sticker icon again in the input field and then select a sticker. It will be sent immediately.
• If your chat partner sends you a sticker of your choice, you can add it to your favorites later.

• Tap, tap and grab the sticker, then select the option “Mark with a starBy the way, WhatsApp allows you to mark stickers with a star. Read more about this Here.
• You can see the saved stickers in your sticker selection by tapping the star.

WhatsApp stickers for Android

If you want to install WhatsApp stickers on an Android smartphone, you need to proceed as follows:

• Open WhatsApp and select Chat.
• Click the smiley face icon in the lower left corner and then tap the sticker icon next to the icon labeled “GIF”.

• Then select the “+” icon in the upper right corner.
• WhatsApp will now display all available sticker packs.

• Now select the sticker pack you want to download by tapping the arrow below. If asked to do so, confirm the download by “Download”.
• Once the sticker package has been successfully added, a green tick will appear next to it.
• You will now see new stickers on your list. If you tap it, it will be sent immediately.

Use animated stickers

In addition to the simple stickers, WhatsApp is also offering animated versions from the summer of 2020. To use animated stickers, you need to have the latest version of WhatsApp installed. Create stickers yourself

If the sticker sets recommended by WhatsApp are not enough for you, you can also get creative and create your own stickers. All you need is pictures of your favorite tools and additional application.

If you have an iPhone, for example, you can use the free “Sticker Maker Studio” tool. Once downloaded and installed from the App Store, stickers are created at any time: all you have to do is cut out the features of your choice with your finger and then add them directly from the app as a sticker package on WhatsApp and send to friends and family.

Even for those who use Android devices, creating your own stickers is no problem. You can find many applications for this in the Google Play Store.
