Iliad 5G comes with iOS 14.5 on the iPhone: here’s how to enable it

Yesterday, April 28, Apple has released iOS 14.5. This update introduces several important innovations (such as Open with Apple Watch), But there is another important change for Iliad users: TheEnables 5G For the iPhone 12 family.

After updating to iOS 14.5, in fact, Elliott users should have seen a popup call Update carrier settings. If this does not appear automatically, you can try to “force” the smartphone by putting it in airplane mode and turning it off or on. Settings > General > Information.

After updating the settings, the “Manager” item (from Settings> General> Info) will report Iliad 46.1.

At this point, there will be one of the network options 5G, Which will be disabled by default. To run it, you need to go to the top Settings > Cell phone > Cellular data options > Voice and data. Two entries related to 5G can be found here:

• 5G is active, Use whenever 5G networks are available at the expense of high battery consumption
• 5G Auto, Which automatically switches only when needed for 5G networks, and only when it does not compromise on battery consumption
