Evidence of vaccination certificates and negative tests goes back to European time. As of this Friday, June 25th, the documents issued to patients now contain the QR code in European format so that they can be integrated with the European Digital Certificate (DCC), which will take effect on Thursday, July 1.
This document is expected to make it easier for travelers from the EU to cross borders this summer, except for isolated periods in the countries concerned. Like the French Health Pass, it can justify a complete vaccination cycle, with a negative PCR or antigen test taking less than 48 or 72 hours, but certification of recovery from Covit-19.
The European QR code replaces the 2D-doc code used so far by French documents to consolidate information from a person’s health pass. The new European format will make certificates readable during border control or when boarding an aircraft not only in all EU countries but also in Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

Individuals who have already registered full evidence of the vaccine in the TousAntiCovid application should see their document automatically updated with the application. In practice, we noticed that it is necessary to re-scan the QR code of the certificate to save it in European format in use.
Those who use the certificates in paper or PDF format must ensure that the European code is included or that after July 1 they may refuse to board the flight or refuse to cross the border. For the applications that come under the French Health Pass, i.e. entering large crowds and soon entering nightclubs, nothing has changed. The validity of the Health Pass can be verified by a certificate with 2D-doc code or European code.
