Are you one of the first or last names that are constantly scratched by strangers? To avoid experiencing this embarrassment when meeting a selector, LinkedIn integrates an option in its users’ profile, allowing them to add their family name pronunciation and their baptismal name to their own voice.

Once the preference is set, you do not have to hesitate to contact people who will meet you in real life. Here’s how to set this up on your profile.

    Also found in the video:

    1. Go to your profile

You can only make this change from the mobile app of the social network, despite the preference in the web version.

    Download LinkedIn for Android (Free)
    Download Center for iPhone (Free)

From the main page of the app, tap and tap your profile picture on the top left View profile.

    2. Edit your profile

At the top right of your profile page, click the pencil button to edit your information.

In the window Introduction Displayed, press Add name pronunciation.

    3. Record the pronunciation of your first and last name

A pop-up should appear at the bottom of the screen. Hold down the blue button with your finger above the microphone and say your first and last name aloud as it appears on your profile.

When the recording is complete, you can hear your pronunciation again. If you are satisfied with the end, press Use Confirm your changes by integrating and pressing it into your profile Registration. Don’t forget to skip selecting the default audience (by default, all connected members) to hear the pronunciation of your first and last name by clicking the dedicated button.

On the other hand, if what you are asking does not suit you, you can Please re-register Pronunciation by pressing the appropriate button.

After configuring the pronunciation of your first and last name on your profile, other users will need to press the speaker icon to hear what you have to say. You can edit or delete this item from your profile at any time.
