The as-yet-unnamed high is expected to bring summer back to Germany from Thursday. The German Meteorological Service (DWD) forecasts 30 degrees and sunshine. It was already dry on Wednesday and the sun was battling through the clouds, especially in the south, the DWT announced in Offenbach on Sunday.

In the north it is initially cold above 25 degrees and in the south it is already hot. According to the DWD, Thursday looks like a summer day from the picture book: the sun shines from the blue sky, it is dry and the temperature is between 25 and 30 degrees.

Friday 27 to 31 degrees is also possible – in the southwest, thunderstorms increase again. The DWD said it was not yet clear how things would turn out next weekend. But it looks like heavy rain and thunderstorms again, at least 25 to 30 degrees.

According to the forecast, rain and thundershowers are expected, especially in the northwest and in the Alps, with temperatures ranging from 19 to 25 degrees.

It appears to be the same on Tuesday, only mostly dry in the south and especially in the south of the Danube where the sun goes out for a long time. Maximum values are 19 to 23 degrees in the north and west, and 24 to 27 degrees in the south and east. (dpa)
