Lenovo has confirmed the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and GeForce MX550 through its own database of inputs and test runs on Geekbench. The latter gets the old-fashioned MX450, and as the smallest representative of the ampere generation, would be a cheaper but faster alternative to the iGPU for the notebook.

As is well known, there is still plenty of room in the notebook under the Nvidia GeForce RTX3050. Now Nvidia will have to use the same ampere graphics chip, reducing it to 16sm so that 2,048 Active Shaders can be paired with a small 2GB VRAM, and the new entry-level model will be ready. Just like the GeForce MX450 was designed based on the Turing for Intel Tiger Lake notebooks, the new GeForce MX550 is designed for the Alter Lake. So know In a system.

Alder Lake-P and Intel Core i7-1260P represent the mid-range range of upcoming models such as the performance class. High-end branches like the Core i9-12900H are placed on top of this, including the Core i7-1250U. From January 2022, when the new models for laptops will be officially offered, the notebook will again have a somewhat confusing naming scheme with large and small cores sometimes surprising stars. The new Nvidia GPU should perform better above the integrated Xe graphics unit in Alder Lake, as it is consistent with the previous Tiger Lake status – and the MX450 is already finished. Own graphics memory can help a little in some situations, despite its small size.

The AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT is coming soon

No further details about the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, it will reappear every week. Lenovo Database Confident 4 GByte GDDR6, this value was previously considered in addition to the 1,024 shaders.

In addition, PowerColor receives some more information through the EEC’s certification system. Not only the various branches of the RX 6500 XT, but also the Radeon RX 6400 named with the same 4 GByte of memory, optionally in low profile format (LP). It speaks in favor of energy conservation, but is not particularly powerful representative. Both should start in January.
