    Google releases Chrome 91.0.4472.164 for desktop with bug fixes Update closes 8 security holes in Chrome

    Google announced the availability of the standard version 91.0.4472.164 for Windows, MacOS and Linux on the official Chrome blog yesterday evening. The update only includes bug fixes and stability improvements to make Google Chrome more reliable and secure, so no new features are expected. With the new version, Google CVE-2021-30541, CVE-2021-30559, CVE-2021-30560, CVE-2021-30561, CVE -2021-30562, CVE-2021-30563 and CVE-2021 -30564 closed in Google Chrome. Google knows that exploitation for CVE-2021-30563 is in the wild. As always, access to details and links will be blocked until most users receive this update.     The update to version 91.0.4472.164 is available for download via the integrated update function and via the official website. Users who have installed an older version of Google Chrome will receive an update automatically, as it is now provided via the update function. If you do not want to wait too long, you can trigger the update manually: Open Chrome and click on the three-dot menu in the top right. Click Restart to run it.

    The new version includes the following new features and improvements:

    • The standard channel for Windows, Mac and Linux has been updated to 91.0.4472.164, which will be released in the coming days / weeks. This update includes 8 security fixes.
    • Security Amendments -> CVE-2021-30541, CVE-2021-30559, CVE-2021-30560, CVE-2021-30561, CVE – 2021-30562, CVE-2021-30563 and CVE-2021-30564. Google knows that exploitation for CVE-2021-30563 is in the wild.
