Finding a free e-scooter to drive through the city is now much easier. Rental Scooter Supply Layer and Google Maps have now come up with the solution. Inventors can find supplier e-scooters directly via Google Maps, with information such as pricing information and estimated arrival time on the scooter.
The “TIER” button is one of the currently supported cities on Google Maps under the Routes tab. Clicking on the button shows the nearest available e-scooter, as well as the trajectory and charging status of the scooter. To start the journey, users will then be redirected to the provider’s rental usage.
Google Maps: Layer collaboration makes it easy to find e-scooters
The service is initially available in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Zurich, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. It is said that more cities are to be followed during the year.
“Through our collaboration with Google, we create visibility for TIER scooters on Google Maps and help ensure that drivers have access to the most appropriate transportation routes for their daily movement needs,” says Dinia Muhlfens, TIER’s Marketing Director.
According to its own information, the company is currently Europe’s leading shared micro-mobility provider in Europe. In addition to e-scooters, Layout currently offers short-term rental e-bikes in Great Britain, France, Norway and Switzerland.
