Free-2-Play Shooter for modern platforms is coming in 2022

The former managing director of EA Dice founded his own company, Empark Studios. We now have permission to see his first project at Game Awards 2021: “Arc Riders”!

Empark Studio’s first project is called “Arc Riders” and will be a free third-party shooter that will be released next year for current gen consoles. In addition to the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, the PC is also powered.

The trailer footage shown is graphically absolutely solid. We also watch the game, which makes for a very funny look.

With the team game towards victory

Apparently this is a cooperative sniper, in which you have to fight alien robots along with other soldiers. You can choose from conventional weapons such as assault rifles, rocket launchers and grenades. Team play plays an important role, which is why appropriate game mechanics are implemented.

In addition to giant meg robots you also have to deal with fast drones. To move yourself in the air, you can equip your character with a jetpack or use a cropping hook.

After leaving the prototype phase, the essential growth phase has now begun. Epic Games’ Unreal Engine is used here.

Empark Studios was opened by former EA DICE Managing Director Patrick Söderlund. His team includes former “Battlefield” and “Star Wars Battlefield” developers. In fact, the movement is reminiscent of two science fiction shooters.
