Apple does not want the popular online game “Fortnight” to return to its App Store until the legal dispute with developer Epic Games is completely resolved. The iPhone company rejected the request to restart.

According to a letter from epic leader Tim Sweeney Apple Not interested in “Fortnight” in the App Store again in the future. Apple mentioned the epic’s earlier “double talk” behavior, among other things. In the controversy that has been going on for more than a year between Apple and Epic, it was Ten days before the first judgment. A judge in California has ruled that Apple has the right to ban Epic and “Fortnight” from the App Store, among others.

Epic wanted to enforce the right to run its own App Store on the iPhone and Apple was able to sell digital content to the last “Fortnight” players. After Apple insisted on its rules, Epic did a trick. The game company secretly created software code on the processor, thanks to which Apple allows users to purchase “Fortnight” products directly from Epic without commission. After activating the function, Apple threw “Fortnight” from the App Store. The epic complained against it.

The judge ruled that Apple did not touch 15 to 30 percent of the commission for sales of digital products, or that the site was the only site for downloading apps on the iPhone. However, in the future Apple decided that it should no longer ban developers from advising users on ways to purchase products at lower prices outside the App Store. The epic appealed the verdict.

At the same time, Sweeney promised in an email to Apple that Epic will abide by the rules that apply to all developers in the future. “Apple lied,” he yelled after rejecting the request on Twitter, considering previous reports from the iPhone company that Epic would be welcomed again if the conditions were met.

However, in a letter to the epic, Apple lawyers pointed out that Sweeney would not give up their own purchasing system to return to the App Store after the verdict. Apple will consider further recall requests when the judge’s ruling is final and can no longer be appealed. The process could take up to five years, Sweeney criticized. There was initially no comment from Apple. dpa
