Fall 3: Games for Windows Live are thrown away with a link

Fallout 3 gets an amazing update, in which Patch Notes only has two new features: performance and stability improved, and games for Windows Live are no longer available. Both can be found in the causal relationship.

Games for Windows Live are excluded

With the latest version 1.7.0.4 you can now start the game without installing games for Windows Live. This is complicated by the fact that Microsoft-custom, offline account creation is no longer required, and sources of malfunctions and error are possible. Since this service was turned off in 2014, the roll-flaming game can now be played again without any solutions. Fallout 3 is the last of the big “GfWL” titles to expand customers. Most recently, Rockstar removed the monument from GTA IV because it could no longer generate further activation keys after it was discontinued.

Paradoxically, Microsoft acquired Bethesda to remove a Microsoft service from the game. However, this step does not seem completely unreasonable. On the one hand, Microsoft keeps the classic games fresh, thereby enhancing the Campus offer, and on the other hand, the note of significant failure was erased, which was a red cloth for gamers. In principle, this is the question of dual-image cultivation, and this service is now completely forgotten. After all, only Steam and the Microsoft Store are in balance because GOG has been out of service for so long.

Failure from the start

Games for Windows Live must connect Xbox 360 and PC in 2007, but at the same time install the paid direct service on the computer. Windows Vista as a prerequisite and a $ 50 annual fee – which was quickly dropped – is difficult to implement on PC. There is no cross play, no superior offer or stressed strategy. In contrast, games for Windows Live were perceived as a nuisance, which, among other things, was expressed in petitions for games such as Dark Souls.
